The Psychotherapy Services I Offer

Individual Psychotherapy
I provide individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. Depending on your needs, preferences, and schedule, I offer a few times each week in which we might meet. Typically this involves 45-minute sessions, which may be once-per-week at first and then meet less frequently as matters improve. Based on our initial meetings, you and I will collaborate to ensure an appropriate treatment plan, while also allowing flexibility to adjust our focus as necessary going forward.

I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, depression, identity concerns, relationship stress, grief, academic problems, cultural stress, men's issues, anger challenges, impulse control concerns, and general difficulty balancing life's demands. However, I would also define myself as a "skilled generalist" able to assist in helping you address most mental health concerns amenable to weekly outpatient psychotherapy.

Teletherapy Services

In addition to my physical office space in MD, I am able to provide teletherapy services for individuals located in DC, MD, VA, and an expansive range of other states covered by PSYPACT.

Consultation

I offer a free initial consultation meeting (20 minutes) to gather more information and help you decide if therapy with me is a good fit for your needs and goals. I believe the most important factor that makes therapy a success is the quality of connection in the therapeutic relationship. Thus, I am hopeful to meet with you to get a sense of how we might best work together and begin to create a shared vision of your path toward firmer ground.

Fees and Insurance Information

Fees:
My rates are $200 per 45-minute session, $240 for a 60-minute session, and $280 for an initial intake assessment.

A note on insurance: I am able to take Aetna insurance for clients in MD, DC, and VA. For individuals with other insurance, I am able to provide documentation for out-of-network provider reimbursement from your insurance.

Good Faith Estimate: Congress recently passed the "No Surprises Act" to protect consumers from excessive out-of-pocket medical expenses beyond what is quoted from a provider. In compliance with this law, you are entitled to a good faith estimate of the actual costs of treatment you might incur if you are not using insurance to cover fees. In advance of our first session, I will send you a document sharing my best estimate of the anticipated costs of our treatment. As our work progresses, the duration and/or frequency of psychotherapy may change. At that time, I will provide you an updated good faith estimate of the cost of further treatment. For more information about the "No Surprises Act," please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
